Calopogonium Mucunoides (CM ) originating from Indonesia, It is a twinner and creeper with tolerance for poor soils. The legume cuts off during dry months. It is a prolic seeder; seed rate is 3-4.5 kg per ha.
CM is a vigorous, creeping, twining or trailing, short-lived perennial herb. It belongs to the Family Fabaceae (alt. Leguminosae). Calopogonium mucunoides is a recognized valuable cover crop which has excellent soil erosion control and soil fertility improvement activities.
