kara benguk or Mucuna Choncinensis are vines with a height of 6 m. The growth spreads but can also be erect, the stem is rather small and weak, the leguminous seeds are thick. Growth is very fast and within 3 months it's 100% cover the ground. Naturally died after 6-8 months.
Young leaves and pods can be eaten as long as they are boiled first. old seeds , can be used as a substitute for soybeans to make tempe.
